Dune Vase
Celadon
€86
Ø 150 × 260 mm
An illustrated film: two hands throw a vase on a pottery wheel, from a lump of wet clay to a tall vessel with a celadon glaze. Scroll to move through it.
ARGJILË — Handmade ceramics
Each vessel in the collection was centred, opened and pulled on our wheel in Prishtina, dried for a week and fired twice. No moulds, no casting, just clay and the time it asks for.
02 — Manifesto
We make vessels for ordinary mornings: cups that sit warm in the hand, bowls that hold the weight of a slow dinner, vases that make a single stem look intentional. Nothing is cast. Nothing is rushed. Every piece carries the pressure of two hands.
Studio notes, Prishtina
Two potters, one kiln and the patience to let clay set its own pace. Every piece we sell passes through our hands at least six times before it leaves the studio.
03 — Collection
01 / 06
Six pieces from the latest kiln opening. Each is thrown in a run of fewer than twenty, so no two are quite the same.

Every throw starts at the bench. The clay is folded and pressed in a slow spiral until the air is gone and the body feels the same all the way through. Skip it and the kiln finds every bubble.
05 — Studio
Argjilë is the Albanian word for clay. Ours is a single room in Prishtina with two wheels under north-facing windows, a long glazing bench and a kiln that hums through the night. Everything is thrown, trimmed, glazed and fired here, in small batches, by the same four hands.

I came for one evening and left with a lopsided bowl I still eat breakfast from. Nobody rushed me, and the tea never ran out.
